Our owners have many years of experience in the marine industry in Cairns operating a multi-award winning Great Barrier Reef tour operation.
Our Cairns charter boat permit allows us to travel to any of our 39 moorings on 12 different reef systems which are not accessible to most other charter boats licences. These Great Barrier Reef marine permits allow us to depart from Cairns or Port Douglas and travel great distances to the outer sections of the reef such as the Ribbon Reefs, Lizard Island, Cooktown north, Hinchinbrook south and other regions on request.

IMPORTANT All passengers are required to contact us between 9 am and 3pm two days prior to their booking to re-confirm passenger numbers and check the weather conditions are favourable for their charter. We are always happy to hear from you earlier, discuss the weather, suitability and answer any questions. Please do not hesitate to call. If the company advises it is safe to travel, but the passengers request to return to Port (for example seasickness) No Refund can be given.

Scuba Diving Restrictions
- Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from scuba diving.
- Participation is subject to a medical questionnaire completed on board with the tour operator
- Minimum age for scuba diving is 12 years.
- Flying after scuba diving: a wait of 12 hours is recommended after one dive, 18 hour after 2 dives and at least 24 hours after multiple dives, before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater.

Additional Information
- Note: Wind and rain are not considered bad weather. During the winter period and our wet season, we experience these conditions quite a lot. It is the severity (level) that determines cancellation. We will discuss any weather concerns when you pre-call us and cancellation will be decided by the Skipper.
- Alcohol is BYO (No glass please) and is only permitted in moderation. Please note, All decisions are at the discretion of the Skipper. All our Skippers are highly experienced and have your safety as their utmost priority. Should drunken/disorderly or dangerous behaviour occur and the Skipper cancels the trip and returns to Port, NO REFUNDS will be given

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be in writing.
We understand things may change, so we have made cancellations very easy.
In every instance we always recommend you purchase travel insurance for life’s last-minute hiccups.

Operators policy:
• Outside 30 days of departure, charters can be cancelled or transferred to an alternative date (subject to availability). Please note, the 10% deposit is non-refundable.
• Within 30 days of departure, no refund or transfer is available.
• Passions of Paradise (Owner of the vessel, Allure) reserves the right to transfer or cancel a charter due to poor weather conditions, mechanical problems or use another vessel, or alter the charter itinerary to suit the weather conditions.
• Should the trip be cancelled prior to departure due to poor weather or mechanical failure we will refund 100% of the amount charged.
• In the event that the charter has commenced and is unable to be completed due to weather or mechanical failure, the charter fee will be refunded on a pro rata basis.
• At times, the weather may make some destinations unsafe or impractical to visit.
It is at the Skippers discretion as to which locations will be visited in poor conditions.
He will choose keeping in mind; your safety, the safety of the boat and your comfort.
There are no refunds if the original itinerary is changed.
The skipper will keep everyone informed of plans for the duration of the charter.
• If the Skipper deems it safe to travel, but passengers wish to return to port during the charter (for example, seasickness), no refund can be given.
• These conditions do not exclude customers rights under the Competition & Consumer Act 2012 (Cth). Prices and conditions may be subject to change without notice.
