A great way to spend a couple of hours! For a fun day out, if you’re your having a quick stay in Far North Queensland (or why not on the way to the airport?) North Queensland Watersports is located conveniently at Marlin Marina in central Cairns City. They will look after your luggage and there are facilities to have a hot shower after your mission. The boat is immaculate as it is refurbished every two years. The three activities available for an action packed explosive session are jet skis, parasailing and bumper tube rides. All activities are surrounded by tropical rainforest-capped mountains which is simply a delightful backdrop.
Jet skiing is the ultimate fun machine! The speed, the spills, the thrills! It is a wild ride bumping through the waters of the Coral Sea, wind sweeping through your hair and a great big sunny smile on your face. North Queensland Watersports’ jet skis blast through the water at a maximum of 85km/h and are upgraded every two years for the ultimate ride and safety.
Parasailing is a gliding dance through the warm Far North Queensland tropical air. The bird’s eye view of Cairns is spectacular when you are 300 feet high and North Queensland Watersports’ fabulous boat cruises at a swift 30 miles per hour. Chill out, fly and take in the lovely unique views of the rainforest and the city.
The bumper tube ride is the test of strength. I was perched up on the ‘Mabel’, somewhat like an L-shaped mattress, holding with all my might as the boat scooted all over the water in every direction. We were slipping and sliding and giggling and wiggling. I hit the drink (water) a couple of times but it just adds to the adventure.
North Queensland Watersports has four time slots available: two in the morning and two in the afternoon.
