Come experience the newest and most modern boat on the Great Barrier Reef; Tusa 5. The evolutionary Tusa 5 is a 24.5 metre custom built boat that can travel at up to 20 knots. This purpose-designed vessel offers guests comfort and style while travelling to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. The 90 minute journey is made enjoyable with flat screen TVs providing reef education throughout the descent and the spacious design allows you to roam freely throughout the vessel. The hydraulic water level entrance makes getting in and out of the water a breeze and the air-conditioning is a nice relief from the hot weather outside. Although Tusa 5 has the capacity to hold 120 passengers, it only takes 60 to ensure personalised service and attention to its guests.
Your day will begin at 8:00am from the Cairns Marlin Marina where you will board the luxury vessel and enjoy your morning tea. During the 90 minute trek to the Outer Great Barrier Reef kick back and enjoy the lovely views of the Great Barrier Reef and learn a bit more about the world’s largest living organism on the flat screen TVs fitted throughout the vessel. Once you have arrived at the Outer Great Barrier Reef you will visit two sites (out of a selection of 15) and spend a total of five hours snorkelling or scuba diving. The buffet lunch is fresh, healthy and tasty and will fill you full of much needed energy for the rest of your day. If you have never scuba dived before than you have a chance of attempting two introductory dives allowing you to retreat underneath coral bombies discovering more colour and species than you’re able to just skimming the surface of the water. If snorkelling is your forte then join a marine biologist tour and learn a bit more about what you are seeing.
Tusa 5 offers premium features that give passengers extra choice and comfort. After your day is done, enjoy a fresh water shower. Prescription masks are available upon requests and only quality snorkelling and scuba equipment is used. Wetsuits and Lyra masks are available if needed and onboard photography is also available.
