Heading south of Cairns you will pass the majestic "Pyramid" mountain given that name for its obvious similarity to the great pyramids of Egypt. This is a mountain that hosts a grueling foot race to the top with competitors from all over the world vying for the honor of being the one to reach the very top and then ascend to the bottom first. On their feet of course!

Shortly after you will arrive at a pretty little place called Josephine Falls where you can take some photographs and take a walk up to the viewing platform and listen to the guide's stories about the region.

Then it's back on the coach and you're off to the Johnstone River Crocodile Farm. This Crocodile Farm has a monster called Gregory and he is 5 meters long. He has a buddy called Johnny that is ninety years old. You won't just be seeing three species of crocodiles here you will also see endangered pre-historic dinosaur like birds called Cassowaries and learn how they are a vital key to the existence of the rainforests and the human race. Other Australian animals on show here are wild dingoes, kangaroos, wallabies and various species of feathered friends.

Now it's around lunchtime you head down to Innisfail a region settled by Italians for an Italian buffet lunch.

Next stop is the Wooroonooran National Park where you can walk on the new MaMu Canopy walkway and gaze out to the amazing vista before you from the viewing platforms along the way. The platform in itself is a big Cairns tourist attraction considering the construction of it in the delicate rainforest surrounds.

Wooroonooran National Park is the point where you do an about turn towards Cairns city and drop in on a local Aboriginal family to see some of their paintings and to hear them play the didgeridoo, a real treat for those tourists that have never met an Aboriginal person before.

Moving northwards back to Cairns you will call into a mysterious place called Babinda Boulders and learn the secrets of the boulders and the history of the Aboriginal people that used to inhabit these areas from your expert tour guide.

Take a stroll thru the rainforest paths and if you feel inclined take a refreshing swim in the crystal clear mountain waters. Just ensure you follow the advice of your Cairns day tour guide and only swim in the designated areas.

Babinda Boulders is your last Cairns attraction that you will be visiting for the day so snap lots of good pictures to take home and reflect upon the beautiful places that you visited on your Cairns Mamu Canopy Tower, Misty Mountains, Babinda Boulders, Josephine Falls, National Parks and Johnstone River Crocodile Farm day tour with Tropical Horizons.
