Sit back and relax in the luxury air-conditioned bus while you travel to your first destination through the beautiful World Heritage-listed rainforest, Granite Gorge, to meet the rock wallabies. These little creature look forward to meeting you, especially if you hand-feed them!
Along the way your friendly guide (who can also speak Japanese) will share with you the passion and the knowledge he has of the Atherton Tablelands.
Included in this tour is a visit to the famous Mt Uncle distillery for liqueur tastings. This distillery is nestled amongst avocado and macadamia nut orchards as well as the banana plantations that provide the Lady Finger bananas for “Elixir de Musa”, Mt Uncle’s flagship liqueur.
Afterwards the guide will take you into the countryside to seek out native wildlife in various locations along the way, including an amazing bird show and a guaranteed sighting of the famous platypus.
In this tour you will be able to meet the locals... and even taste them! The dinner menu is composed of steak, a variety of salads (drinks at your own expense,) dessert, tea and coffee... and also kangaroo and crocodile! The BBQ is organised in a secluded area on a private farm and a night walk will be conducted in the rainforest to see nocturnal wildlife (torches are provided.)
You will be back at your accommodation at approximately 9:30pm.
