The Jungle Adventures Night Walks are the best way to become intimately acquainted with the mysterious nocturnal creatures of the Daintree Rainforest at Cape Tribulation.
Journey into the dense tropical jungle with a small group of 11 guests along a narrow windy track that follows wildlife trails and provides glimpses of ever precious rainforest pockets of abundant natural beauty. There is plenty of wildlife that makes an appearance on the Jungle Adventures Night Walk including Bandicoots, Pythons, Goanna's and a wide range of exotic bird species. Amazingly 50% of all species found on this continent are endemic to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation Rainforests so you are sure to spot some nightlife antics by the forests wildlife.
Fitness Level Required For Night Time Jungle Walking
First of all you will need sensible shoes and long pants are recommended just in case a twig snags you and gives you a big fright or you brush along a bush that may be spiky. Secondly it's a two hour walk so you need to be able to cope with that over uneven ground. This night walk is not recommended for children under the age of eight years as the quieter you are the more you will see. For those families that would like their children to do a private jungle walk and you have little ones then a shorter journey may be arranged by appointment.
Oh and Dragons do actually exist in this rainforest, they are not mythical at all but they are very shy and under threat of extinction so keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth closed if you want to see a Boyd's Forest Dragon or a Water Dragon. And sorry no fire breathing Dragons are permitted in the Cape Tribulation and Daintree Rainforests as they are too dangerous!
Jungle Adventures Night Walks Discovery Tour Departure Times
The jungle walk night adventures depart around 7:30 pm each night with free courtesy pick ups from your Cape Tribulation accommodation otherwise if you are not overnighting then the pick up location is PK's Jungle Village.
Each one of the Jungle Adventures Night Walk Adventurers will be kitted out with a torch and a raincoat if necessary and just make sure you have got the insect repellant on or we may just have some to share with you.
Be prepared to look, listen and learn and most of all be quiet as you go along the rainforest paths so that you can give yourself and others the opportunity to see the rainforest animals.

Keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth closed so that you can get the greatest benefit out of going into the darkness of the nocturnal animals backyard and seeing these shy creatures going about their business of finding food and mates.
