Your day will start at either 8:30 or 1:30 when you will be collected from your Cairns, Cairns Beaches or Port Douglas accommodation. It is a free bus charter to the Blazing Saddles property just east of Kuranda and from there you will enjoy a morning or afternoon tea and get suited up for your adventure of the day.
Horseback riding with Blazing Saddles
There are over 70 easygoing horses at Blazing Saddle and each person is paired up with a horse that is suited to age, height, weight and skill level. Kids as young as four years old are able to ride a horse and even the most experienced horse riders can enjoy a canter through the Australian bushlands. Generally during your two hour ride you will wind through beautiful bushland and rainforest, climb rock hills, surge through creeks and conquer steep declines. If you feel comfortable then you may be able to take your horse for a trot. Be assured that you are in safe hands throughout the entire day. The professional staff will assess everyone’s abilities and confidence levels in a non discriminatory manner, giving personalised attention for those in need. Only the most advanced safety gear is used at Blazing Saddles including safe-rider safety stirrups with a quick release mechanism. There is nothing more transpiring than travelling horseback through authentic Australian landscapes, where you are in complete control of the friendly giant beneath you. If you are partaking in the morning ride then you will return to find an aussie-style BBQ lunch has been prepared. If you are part of the afternoon session then you will return to enjoy some savoury finger foods.
ATV Tours with Blazing Saddles
powerful 250 cc vehicle or a more agile 90 cc ATV. No licence or previous experience is necessary; all you need to bring along is your sense of adventure and excitement. Test the limits of your powerful quad bike vehicle as you wind through challenging tire obstacle courses, weave in and out of rainforest tracks and dart through creeks and puddles of mud. Although the day can prove to be an adrenaline rush there is an option of taking it easy and just cruising through the tracks, admiring the lovely scenery that passes you by. The Honda ATV’s that are used at Blazing Saddles are serviced regularly and have enough power so you can really feel the grunt and manipulate the challenging hill climbs and water traps. You will be having so much fun on your scenic ATV tour that you won’t even notice that your face, shirt and pants have been completely painted with mud and dirt! If you are partaking in the morning ride then you will return to find an aussie-style BBQ lunch as been prepared. If you are part of the afternoon session then you will return to enjoy some savoury finger foods.

Outback in Style
This luxury option features a pick up in your own private vehicle where you will be escorted to the Blazing Saddles property with your own personal guide. Your guide will take you and your group (maximum 6 people) on a private horse back journey where you will have a pleasant outback style gourmet picnic. In the afternoon you can tackle the ATVs with your personal guide or just decide to do a half day experience with just one activity. The day will end with a private luxurious transfer back to Cairns, Cairns Beaches or Port Douglas.
