The Sebel Reef House is the original jewel in the crown of Palm Cove. Constructed and opened during the mid to late 1950's by a well respected local and purchased by Brigadier The Hon. David Thomson, MC, RL in the 1970's the resort has been upgraded and extended a number of times over the years. This year it has undergone and finished an extensive refurbishment of all the rooms, Restaurant and Brigadiers Bar.
This is the Raffles of Palm Cove with white washed walls Tropical Architecture and impeccable service. Step back to the days of the Raj, drinks are still available each evening on a self service basis in the Brigadiers Bar on an honor system, as they were in the days when the Brigadier invited his guests to the property. Fabulous rooms decorated in white and fresh citrus colors. The newly refurbished rooms are very comfortable, spacious and well thought out.
The restaurant has also under gone a full refurbishment with inviting cushioned bench seating outside and comfortable dining indoors there is an inviting bar area within the restaurant. The cuisine is definitely something to write home about, it is open for Breakfast, lunch and dinner whichever you choose it is always a most enjoyable experience. As normal only the finest cuisine is created by Executive Chef Phillip Mitchell and his team. This is a wonderful setting on the Esplanade of Palm Cove looking out over the ocean.
The Sebel Spa is absolutely superb and has won many awards including the Best Australasia Spa - Voted by Gourmet Traveller. It has also received many accolades and much recognition there is a very extensive menu that is sure to cater for everyone's tastes.
There is a tour desk in the lobby that can organise anything you wish from a local tour to Kuranda to an exclusive boat charter.
