Balé Port Douglas has pioneered the concept of courtyard style pavilions which feature contemporary architecture while existing serenely as to not disrupt the natural environment all around. There are 38 opulent pavilions that are set amongst 15 hectares of colorful landscaped gardens, lush parklands and native Australian vegetation. This vast outdoor environment is yours to enjoy and explore. The Courtyard Pavilion style living at Balé Port Douglas has been inspired by architecture from Spain, North Africa, The Himalayas, Cuba and The Philippines. At Balé Port Douglas you are able to embrace this exotic form of living in these safe and exclusive modern pavilions. Each luxurious pavilion at Balé Port Douglas is privately placed away from the other pavilions creating a discreet and concealed environment. Upon entering your gate you will come into a stunning forecourt area with elegant water features, landscaped rock gardens and elaborate stone and timber designs. The walkway will lead you thru the gardens, passing the open aired bedroom and living/dining room structure. Each Courtyard Home has three to four separate pavilions. The main living area pavilion is an open ended pavilion set between two blade walls. This main pavilion opens from either one or both ends to a covered terrace with bi fold doors; this allows you to close of this living area of have a completely open aired layout from pavilion to pavilion. The living pavilion also holds the kitchen.
The master bedroom pavilion is bordered by either landscaped gardens or an infinity plunge pool on one side. The ensuite spa bathroom is detached from the bedroom pavilion and accessible by a garden fringed walkway. The master bedroom can be closed off and air conditioned or opened up with French-style doors.
The open side of the courtyard faces out towards a private backyard with manicured gardens, water features and a pool pavilion; relax in opulent sala day beds in each backyard which overlook the pools; utterly indulgent and sophisticatedly private!

There are five different courtyard pavilion home designs at Balé Port Douglas.

Sundaram House Pavilions combine three main living pavilions: The Main Living and Dining Area, Master Bedroom and Spa Bathroom, and Second and Third Bedroom. A central breezeway connects the pavilions together. Beside the master bedroom is a luxuriant plunge pool with poolside pavilion; perfect for tropical days and balmy nights. Bedding configuration is a king, queen and two single beds.

Amanitva Houses sleep six adults in three separate pavilion bedrooms with ensuites. The lucky couple in the master bedroom can enjoy a secluded indoor/outdoor bathroom area. Amanitva Courtyard Houses have beautiful water features, a sensational outdoor dining area that connects to the outdoor courtyard, horizon pool and poolside pavilion and laundry and storage areas; great for longer stays. Bedding configuration is a king, queen and twin beds.

Bale’ Port Douglas Ksayana Pavilion Houses feature a stunning horizon pool and water features and magnificent floor to ceiling windows. The outdoor enterainment area is poolside, setting a sultry ambient mood. Ksayana Houses have three bedrooms and a separate master bedroom; bedding configuration is a king, queen and single beds.

Anandah Houses are immersed in nature and are perfect for those who cherish the outdoors. These courtyard homes have to levels with a balcony which features a radiant spa. Designed for longer stays, each of the two bedrooms in the Anandah Houses have ensuite bathrooms and plenty of storage space. Bedding configuration is a queen and single beds.

Niramaya Courtyard Homes are the largest and most luxurious with 36 meters of frontage bordering on a lagoon style swimming pool or tropical vegetation. These four bedroom pavilion homes have two master bedrooms, each with their own private garden spa. These large holiday homes have private 15 meter lap pools, poolside pavilions and chic poolside day beds under the covered breezeways. Bedding configuration is two king, one queen and two single beds.
