The lodges are ideal for families or groups and consist of free standing two story buildings that have a double master bedroom upstairs and two bunk beds in the second bedroom downstairs. The terrace lodges are fully self contained with cooking facilities although the laundry room is located elsewhere on the premises. These spacious lodges overlook the gleaming waters of Lake Tinaroo and are comfortable and affordable; lodge terraces can sleep six people with the use of a futon in the living room. Deluxe lakefront lodges have double spa baths in the master bedroom ensuite.

The ensuite rooms are located in a single high set building which looks out towards the lake and gardens. In each ensuite room there is either a double bed or three single beds designed for couples and singles. Ensuite rooms are not self contained however they have access a communal kitchen and laundry facilities. There are five ensuite rooms in total that can be rented out separately or together accommodating groups of up to 15 people.

Lake Tinaroo Terraces is a family centered holiday resort with tons of activities for guests of all ages. Children will love playing on the sandy beach and there is a beachside playground nearby also. The property has communal shaded barbeque areas perfect for that afternoon or evening barbeque and there is also a salt water swimming pool to cool off in. Water sport rentals are available too. You can hire canoes, kayaks, jet skis, fishing boats, wind surfers and paddle skis or take waterskiing or wakeboarding lessons. There are several wilderness bush walking tracks around the lake where prolific birdlife and native Australian animals can be spotted. Lake Tinaroo is renowned for its collection of native Australian birds as it features about 18% of all Australian bird species. Wildlife that can be spotted includes tree kangaroos, possums and scrub turkeys amongst much more.

Lake Tinaroo is a man made dam that supplies the agricultural industry on the Atherton Tablelands with water. Tinaroo Dam usually sits at 100% full so there is a constant water supply year round. The lake has 200 kilometers of shoreline and has several calm bays perfect for water sports or fishing. Explore Lake Tinaroo on a guided cruise or hire your own boat for the day. Fishing is an extremely popular activity at Lake Tinaroo as it is stocked with barramundi. Recent fishing records on Lake Tinaroo include the world’s largest Barramundi and the worlds largest Sooty Grunter. Other popular catches include red claw yabbies, sleepy cod, archer fish, bony bream, saratoga, silver perch and mangrove jack.

Lake Tinaroo Terraces are located near the township of Tinaroo Falls with a convenience shop and two restaurants within walking distance. Pensini’s Restaurant is a family friendly casual restaurant that overlooks Lake Tinaroo. Serving a la carte style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner; a meal at Pensini’s is a must do while staying at Lake Tinaroo Terraces. Cathedral Lodge Restaurant is also just steps away from Lake Tinaroo Terraces and serves Australiana themed food in a non formal and cozy environment.
